We currently hold our children’s classes in two large tents. During the recent storms, one of the tent frames sustained some damage and the canopies suffered tears, we hope the tents will be useable for a few more months. Replacing the tents will cost several thousand dollars.

What we really need is a Halau style classroom. This is a structure with a sturdy roof to shelter the children from wind and rain, a solid floor - a level and firm place to engage in movement exercises, a low wall of cubbies to store the equipment and supplies neatly and securely.

We invite the Keiki’s ‘Ohana for the last class of each series, so the Keiki can share some of what they’ve learned and accomplished.  The classroom will offer the ‘Ohana a safe and comfortable space to observe and appreciate what the Keiki share.

Our Keiki program and the caring for the ‘aina, animals and classes, requires a large number of volunteers.  We will utilize the classroom space for our comprehensive volunteer training.

We will also be able to utilize the classroom space for upcoming Kūpuna classes and other educational and community gatherings.
